Your choices. You do not need to use a claims management company to make your complaint. You can complain directly to your lender for free and, if you're unhappy with the outcome, refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service for free. You may also be able to use the FCA's industry-wide motor finance redress scheme once available. The scheme is currently subject to legal challenge, which is expected to delay the redress process and the timing of any payments. While we always aim to recover the maximum compensation, there is no guarantee we will recover more than you could achieve on your own.
No win, no fee.¹ Where no win, no fee is offered, you pay nothing unless your claim is successful. A fee of between 18% and 36% including VAT applies on successful claims (the rate depends on the level of redress secured), and a cancellation fee may apply if you cancel outside the 14-day cooling-off period.
*The FCA has published an estimated average redress figure of £829 per eligible agreement. We estimate clients have an average of 2 agreements, giving an illustrative potential value of £1,658. Estimates are illustrative only. Compensation is not guaranteed and depends on eligibility and the FCA redress criteria — it may be higher, lower or nil.
